Eastern Shore Vacation Rentals is proud to be part of a cooperative project with our local Habitat for Humanity affiliate. In exchange for your volunteer time to Habitat for Humanity Choptank, we are offering substantial savings on your next vacation home rental.

How It Works...
Book an Eastern Shore Vacation between September 15th and May 15th and get the
days you volunteer for Habitat free! Offer good for one free day for every three days of stay, and at least 50% of the adult occupants must be volunteering. A full day shift is from 9:00am to 3:00pm.

Help Build a Dream...
Habitat for Humanity Choptank does more than build houses for families in need—it builds lives. A family’s physical and spiritual well being, as well as their sense of dignity and self worth, are tied to having a decent place to live. Home ownership empowers families to become investors in their communities. Habitat offers families with a small but steady income, unable to purchase a home under ordinary circumstances, a chance to build their own home.

Habitat for Humanity is not a giveaway program. In addition to a down payment and monthly mortgage, new homeowners invest hundreds of hours of their own labor—sweat equity—into building their own Habitat house and the houses of others. Habitat houses are sold to partner families at no profit and financed with affordable loans. Payments go into a revolving fund which in turn helps to finance other Habitat homes in the community.

Volunteers Make The Difference...
Habitat for Humanity partner families are not the only beneficiaries. By working side-by-side with the family who will live in the house, Habitat volunteers become part of the greatest kind of giving back while learning new things, meeting new people, and helping make dreams come true. No construction experience is needed—just a willingness to give of yourself and become a partner with those in need.

While Habitat for Humanity has built more than 200,000 houses worldwide, there are still thousands of families anxious for the chance to become homeowners and are ready to do their share. But they can’t do it alone. They need the help of you—their neighbor—to achieve their dream of one day owning a home.
