

Check-In Procedures
The check- in time is 4 p.m. year round and is noted in your rental lease. With the size and complexity of our homes, our housekeepers need every minute of the summer seasons 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. window to ensure the cleanliness of your vacation home. Please do not interfere with their work or pressure our staff to allow you entry before 4 p.m. It's a big job and everyone does their best to get you into a wonderfully clean and inviting home. For your own security, do not enter the home or use the pools until you have received the keys from our office. Do not plan on buying groceries before check-in. We cannot let you check in early nor can we provide refrigeration facilities. In unusual circumstances, it may be necessary to delay occupancy beyond 4:00 p.m., until your home is ready. While you wait, enjoy a stroll around St. Michaels or Easton, put your boat in the water, visit the St. Michaels or Easton’s many shops and restaurants or take advantage of our beautiful wildlife preserves. Our office staff will be happy to assist you with ideas of fun things to do while you wait. Upon check in, please be prepared to present your photo identification and a credit cards to keep on file to guarantee against damages.
Keys
You will be given two sets of door key in your check-in packet. Keys will not be given to anyone under 24 years of age. Please be sure to return all keys to our rental office upon checkout.
Late Arrivals
If you will be arriving after office hours, please make sure your rent is paid in full and your lease agreement and credit card is on file with the office. Keys will not be put out in the after hours box unless the payments have been made and we have received a signed contract.
Check-Out Procedures
Your vacation is nearing an end and we know it is hard to leave, but please check out according to the time listed on your rental agreement so the property can be prepared for the next guest. If you have any questions regarding your checkout time or procedures, do not hesitate to call our office.
Please make sure the following items are completed prior to leaving the property (a complete list is noted on your key packet as well as your rental agreement):

The trash should always be bagged, placed in the appropriate garbage area. Garbage pickup days are noted in your home’s guest book. |

Wipe out and empty the refrigerator and the cupboards of all items you brought to the house. |

Wash and properly put away dishes. |

Gather all of your personal items. We will not be responsible for any items left in the unit. Items returned will include a $25 fee plus postage. Lost and found items unclaimed after thirty days are turned over to a local charity. |

Leave furniture arranged as you found them. |

In cold weather, please leave the thermostats turned on, leave hot ashes in the fireplace, and close doors to fireplace. |

Please do a final walk through to check that doors, windows, and skylights are closed and locked and that all lights are turned off. Pay special attention to outside flood lights. |
If you are leaving before the rental office opens at 10:00 a.m., you may leave your keys in the night drop box next to the front door of our office.
Early Check-In & Late Check-Out for Summer
Some properties have available early check in, please check with our office for availability. There is a $50 fee for early arrivals.
