Overview

Bedding:  1 King, 2 Twins

Recently renovated 1940's Sears Cottage in heart of historic Oxford steps to local restaurants and waterfront park.  Cozy living room with wireless internet and cable television.  Fully renovated kitchen with modern appliances, although you will not want to cook with all the fabulous restaurants, including Pope's Tavern next door, Latitude 38 with lots of fresh local specials, and The Masthead at Pier Street (open seasonally) with hard to beat views, sunsets and all the crabs you could ever eat!
When it's time to retire, there's a king bedroom and second bedroom with two twin beds, with a fully up to date bath.  The inviting open porch provides water views and a great chance to soak in the local flavor of this sleepy town that has a slow and strictly enforced 25 mph speed limit.

You can walk to almost anywhere in from this centrally located cottage, including the local shop that carries "one of everything" and some great homemade goodies, an addicting homemade ice cream stand, and the local farmers market.  Parks, the Oxford Bellevue Ferry and the Strand (a sandy beach area), offer plenty of opportunities for relaxation, and there is even a tennis court across the street.

It was very easy to reserve our property and the team communicated with us efficiently via e-mail and text. We were told that we could access our property early, which was wonderful, but the code that was promised to us did not come through via text. This was easily resolved with an e-mail to the company, however. We had to call because we couldn't unlock one of the doors, and we were told that the door was unlocked; this was not the case as it was clearly still locked.

We had a lovely stay in the Martini Cottage. It was a nice property for 2 people and we had a wonderful time exploring Oxford, Easton and St. Michaels. We were able to use the property bikes to travel around town for meals and ice cream; it truly is a charming community. We enjoyed our trip to Oxford and would love to return.

Wonderful place to honeymoon. We will hopefully be back soon I loved the location and the price. I was hard pressed to find anything near the price that offered as good a location and as good a property. The bikes were great to have as well, and they were the perfect way to get around Oxford.

We had a great stay at the Martini Cottage - it was exactly as described. Everything in Oxford is easily walkable from the location. There is a partially fenced in backyard that was perfect for the dog, a shed with ping pong table, a lush public park across the street with playing fields and tennis courts. Pope's Tavern is literally next door (the food was much better than we expected). Can't wait to come back soon!

Excellent stay at The Martini Cottage! Have already had several friends ask us about the house, because of pictures we have shared. We have highly recommended it.

Great house, very cozy. the front porch is a great place to just chill and relax. The Ping pong table/party room in the shed was a nice surprise and provided hours of good times. We did not expect to find that when we looked in the shed. Highly recommend!

Everything was perfect. sometimes the reality does not live up to what is pictured on line; this place is the total exception... It more than lived up to was such a lovely place with nice bikes and all the amenities of home. The beds were nice, the kitchen layout was user friendly. We loved every minute

I rented the Martini Cottage as a 50 years/20 years cancer free vaca and the Cottage and ESVR was exactly everything I hoped it would be. My girlfriends and ride bikes, relaxed in the screened in porch and loved the proximity to all of Oxford. The credit at Dockside made it possible for all 4 of us to ride bikes.

We had a GREAT experience with the Martini Cottage! We were nervous to book something online without any personal references but we were delighted. One of the first things I noticed was how clean it was. We just loved the decor and coziness of the cottage and it was very quiet. The location was great - within riding distance of everything in Oxford. The one and only downfall and complaint that my husband and I had was that it didn't smell very fresh inside, it had a bit of a musty smell. Nothing some plug-ins wouldn't take care of... Other than that, it was awesome!

We do not have previous experience with vacation rental in the US. Compared to Denmark - where we've been several times before - renting a vacation home seems to be more complicated here, e.g. signing a 15-page contract was requested in advance and we were also asked to provide additional personal documents for direct check-in only one day before our leave to the US. Luckily, we got access to our e-mails just before we got there, so we were able to finally receive the keylock code.
The property however is very nice and is well equipped with all you need in a vacation home; we enjoyed the opportunity to have our own-cooked dinner.
Small shops and restaurants are nearby, more might be reached within a few minutes drive to Easton or Cambridge.
The area is suited if you enjoy vacation in calm surroundings.

We really enjoyed staying at Martini Cottage. We first heard about Eastern Shore Vacation from an article in our paper and were never there. We had a wedding in Bel Air the Saturday before and decided to explore the area - absolutely loved it. Only problem - the kayak was filthy, so we didn't use it, plus we were told it was a tandem, but it was a single, but looked like it hadn't been used in years, so no go on that. On the other hand, we explored the area and fell in love with it, will definitely come back. The Pope Inn next door was fantastic.

We had a wonderful time, the only thing I would say is they need a new grill, it is falling apart and I would suggest the bathroom have a fan in it, other than that I think the house was adorable, loved the sunroom, we had a great time visiting Easton and St. Michaels and walking around Oxford, my daughter loved the Creamery...very good!!!! And my hubby and I had a great time at Schooner's sitting by the water.

Wonderful, clean, and cozy cabin with lots of dining options in easy waking distance. We went in mid-May... warm enough to enjoy summer clothing, but ahead of the summer crowds. Other than the buzz of nearby lawn mowers, it was a perfectly quiet week. Great to have such a wonderful vacation spot where we can also take our dog.

About the Area - Oxford

Escape the hustle and bustle of a typical vacation and even leave the car parked while you meander the tree lined streets, take in the rich sense of history, enjoy world class dining or relax at a waterfront crab house. This small town is the perfect place for family-friendly fun; a waterfront park, the Strand, a sandy beach area, ice cream shops as well as tennis courts in the center of town. The Oxford Bellvue Ferry (open seaonally) makes day trips easy to St. Michaels and Easton.
